LENA Start Mobile

Building school readiness through interactive and positive talk

LENA Start classes and activities will teach parents and caregivers about the important role they play in their child's development and how to build their babies' brains through daily talk and interaction. The classes are FREE, and participating families will receive books, toys, and gift cards. Coastal Family Partners collaborated with Birmingham Talks to offer LENA Start to Mobile families during the 2021-2022 program year. In subsequent years, the agency will engage in various fundraising efforts to continue to host this valuable program for the Mobile. area. This fun and innovative program will help parents give their child a huge school readiness boost through increasing the quality and quantity of interactive talk!
